Our automated Collection Systems constantly scan web sites, process real-time news feeds, and handling field reports from our human sources on the ground. Information is then routed to one of our 9 specific regions or to a SME (Subject Matter Expert) for interpretation and action. For each region--Asia, North America, Europe, The Caribbean, Central and South America, the Middle East, Russia and the Pacific (Oceania), Desk Officers and SMEs interpret and assess this information to determine if an Alert needs to be issued and sent to Destination Tracker clients or if it should be used to update or country/city database (for Intelligence Briefs clients). Alerts and Updates can be on a variety of subjects including weather, security, airport issues, health, culture, currency, legal, entry/exit requirements, transportation, communications/technology, environmental, financial, language, and the political climate. There is no single source with the resources and expertise to provide the public with this level of concise travel information.

You get up-to-date information and extensive background research for one destination (country or city). The Brief is available in PDF format and downloadable immediately or it can be delivered directly to your email or PDA!
The Safe Traveler Destination Tracker combines the information of the Intelligence Brief plus the innovative travel monitoring previously reserved for a select few travelers. You receive Intelligence Briefs for up to 8 locations or legs of your trip combined with continuous monitoring and updates for each of those locations for 30 days after your trip. These alerts and updates are emailed directly to you, wherever you are, even after your trip is over. It’s like having your own security team monitoring local conditions to update you on anything relevant to your trip.

Robert, a senior member of The Safe Traveler's Travel Team, is one of this country's preeminent providers of executive protection. His skills were developed through operational and command-level training with the United States Secret Service, the FBI and the Baltimore County Police Department where prior to retiring with the rank of Major and Chief of Detectives, he was commander of the Intelligence Division. He also founded Maryland's first hostage negotiation team.
In 1989, Bob founded R. L. Oatman & Associates, Inc., which specializes in executive protection operations and training for the private sector. His training school has been said by insiders to surpass Secret Service training in some aspects. He has also authored and co-authored several books including The Art of Executive Protection, You're the Target, and Executive Protection: New Solutions for a New Era.
